I was so excited to see little Grayson in for his one year session last month. His mom mentioned doing a Where the Wild Things Are themed cake and my creativity started going wild. This is one of my absolute favorite children’s books so I was so excited to bring this to life. We wanted to keep it simple so opted for a thunder grey backdrop.
I contacted Charlie Chalk Designs to see if they could design a custom cake topper for the shoot. They sent me four options! They seriously are the best when it comes to wood toppers. I painted and glittered them to make sure the colors matched.

Little Blue Olive provided this darling Max crown and the banner came from Ichabods Imagination.
This sweet little stuffie was part of a set that came from Snippets Props. It peaked his interest for a few seconds.
The following week we met up for Grayson’s outdoor portion of his session. He was all smiles and looked absolutely darling.
This outfit his mom brought from Zara. It was my favorite. You can never go wrong with a vintage look.
Love the cake smash setup, SO CUTE!! Adorable session
Thank you so much Nikki Criniti!
