After a full day of shooting the previous Friday, I met up again with Chris Wilson to finish up this completely amazing experience of shooting a video for my website. This time I ventured down to his neck of the woods in South Chandler to an incredible alfalfa field with the San Tan mountains in the backdrop. I know, what you are thinking! Awesome and alfalfa field…..really Cortney? In my book that is about as good as it gets, I’m weird.
We were joined by Chris’ darling four year old son Statton and one of my favorite little toddlers Kalli. You will probably recognize Kalli from my website. I’ve never photographed a two year old who not only listens to directions, but actually follows them! Oh, and she has so much personality in her smile I just adore her to pieces which is why I wanted her here for this project. Between her and Statton I had two of the cutest children in a beautiful location with an amazing sunset in the backdrop.
We shot the kids pulling the wagon, sitting and jumping off of an antique suitcase, reading books on a quilt , and letting go huge balloons into the air. I have to say that even though it took me an hour to get to the field I would absolutely go back there if asked. That is one thing that the East Valley can provide that is so much my style of photography.
I was a little more comfortable in front of the camera today and truly enjoyed myself. It was natural, and what I would do on a regular day of shooting a session.
Take a peek at the final product!
